We had a report on the local news this morning that "potato crops all over Britain & Ireland have suffered and will be bad this year due to the lack of rain" or word to that effect ..
It has been UNUSUALLY dry here ... we've had about 2 days of rain (not heavy!) in the past 6 weeks! But I know some parts of England have had LOTS of rain..... crazy weather

People in our local asda were appalled at potato prices this evening, 2 pound for a 2kg bag, I just looked at them and said "I can't wait til my my home-grown are ready" I know where you are coming from love-my-plot.
Lowest temps here are around 6-7'C over this w/e.

The weather was terrible last year it was so cold i ended up putting my children's winter duvets and blankets back on them. :?

But i personally blame my partners birthday. In Middlesbrough (North) the 10 June was the last true day of summer and again this week nice on Tuesday (10June) absolutely freezing the day after and so forth.

Temperature will be lucky to get above 4/8 here

A lot of plants wont tolerate a low temperature for a sustained period. With there being so much sunlight at this time of year, the drop will be for a very short time even on top of a mountain.
If it rots compost it
If it burns burn it
If it is chocolate eat it
