You walk out your front door on a beautiful evening to be knocked over by the delicious scent of slurry

Ah well, the resulting flies should keep the swallows which have just hatched fed! :D

the smell makes me actually smile every time (unless its pig slurry). I just love it and it makes me aware every time how lucky I am to be here among farms :)

We have a smell here which I reckon is human sewage. Doesn't have that slurry smell.

Could be after the heavy rain yesterday.  :?

Don't mind it, or even sewage sludge.

We have had that delightful smell at work in the last few days with more than a few complaints but it just makes me feel lucky to think that im working in the middle of the countryside - whereas i used to be stuck in the middle of a large city with the smell of traffic wafting in through the windows

Cant beat a lung full of it to clear the airways!

I don't mind the smell, like others it reminds us how lucky we are to live in the country! Once, when we lived in Yorkshire, the farmer muck spread in the field next to us...my car was behind the wall...I came out to see it literaly covered in muck as he hadn't realised it was there so he spread right up over the wall!! Never mind..made us laugh and gave a good tale to tell...!
