Fava beans are up

All my fava beans have finally sprouted, and I'm glad I listened to the planting advice. The sprouts are huge! I can imagine how large they'll be when they're full grown. It's my first year for them so a new adventure.  One trick I learned with favas is that when you prepare them to eat, not only do you have to take them out of the pods, but after they're cooked you need to remove the fine skin off the beans which makes them tough. Fiddly work but they'll taste better.
Grew them because Hannibal Lecter recommended them along with a bottle of Chianti.
