This little chap crashed into our patio windows yesterday I think he was a little off his flight path. As you will see he was ok.

I love thrushes. I got them nesting in my front garden but the constant hassle from the sparrowhawk frightened them off.

I got a blackbird in my kitchen the other day. It flew over me while I was doing up my shoes.  It took me ages to find it. All went very quiet and I finally spied it sitting on the mantle above the kitchen range, looking like an ornament. It looked quite happy up there  :D

We have Blackbirds nesting in the ivy at the front of the house and they are in and out like they are on elastic! When they land in the ivy they are very noisy and bits of dead old ivy drop to the ground so if we are sitting out there  you have to have a cover on your wine glass/coffee cup!

Aww so cute  :D

We have blackbirds nesting in our hedge next to the kitchen window every year but I think the first babies have fledged as when I was sat outside with the chickens Mr Black bird kept flying down and feeding a youngster on a low branch of our apple tree.  I had to keep a close eye on my silkie as she always chases off any birds that land in the garden.  I am sure she is saying get out its my garden as she also shouts at them when she is in her pen.
