Wouldn't have a clue how to do that pushrod, without lots of white powder? And don't really want that stuff anywhere near my veggies.....is there another way? Boiling water, Jeyes Fluid?

Only sowed my seed last weekend. Last year I lost 3 lots to frost, even lost some mid June, so sowed them late this year. Typical that it is now gloriously warm... nevermind.

I always sow my runners directly into the ground at the end of May.  Never had any problems, apart form the supports collapsing under the weight of them last year!

I got mice in my bean rig last year and they undermined the plants, blackbirds were hoiking them out faster than I could plant them

I only just sowed mine as we get frosts at the beginning of June and I aint planning on losing the whole lot again this year so I'm not jumping the gun  :D

Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

Today's the start of my planting out, I hope - once I've finished Mrs. DD.'s list of jobs!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
