I can't contain my excitement. My two hens arrived today. Aunt Mabel and Abigail have seemed quite content in their very small ark-I can't wait to get them out in a few days, so they can spread their wings a little.  One of them even laid an egg for me! Which my 4 year old had for dinner. My husband is less than pleased with their arrival. He doesn't see what the fuss is all about! I think he is feeling neglected as all me and the kids have talked about is chickens-for the past few days. I am now searching for material to make them a larger run-as theirs is teeny! Just had to tell someone who can understand my excitement!!!!!

Don't worry about the hubby - he'll come round when he gets a nice fried egg for his breakfast

How exciting I totally understand how you feel can't wait to get mine. We are still constructing house and run but has been going well as OH has been on hols.
