the insurance looks too good to be true (or they find loopholes to get out of paying a claim) but the site itself looks like a usefull resource!

Thanks for that!

Yes, it's a genuine organisation, I think it has a link on our home page, we pay similar sum through the NSALG, no con, you get a discount if you apply through them.

i`ve just had a look at that insurance site, i dont think i`ll be taking up their offer as the excess is £250!    now i know i havent been allotmenteering very long but unless you`ve got some very serious kit down on your lotty, i think you`d be hard pushed to prove that you`ve lost more than that amount. (unless they nick your shed & greenhouse too!)

That's a lot of excess. Don't they offer options?

OK - it's me being dim no doubt, but what I'm looking at on the site under 'Insurance' is public liability insurance in respect of any claim against YOU.

Note in particular the wording in respect of the £250 excess mentioned....

Exclusion Clause: - you are liable for the first £250.00 of any claim proved against you.

Can someone put me right please?
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Yes, that's what we have. I didn't look at the site, I just thought it was a different insurance.
