At the moment your forecast is
2C Monday
2C Tuesday
0C Wednesday
2C Thursday

All of which could produce a ground frost.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

My seed potatoes have been chitting since end of January; but although they are green/purple they have little marble shape growths coming from the sprouted part.  They look quite strong; just hoping they are not deformed.  Will they still grow ok?

I planted my earlies today (Lady Christl) but the mids and the lates have these strange marble growths too!
Everyday is the dawn of a new error...

I've chitted quite a lot of varieties but the pink fir apples don't seem to anxious to do anything!  One of my neighbours grew them last year and said that this is normal.  I suppose it means that I won't get too worried when I look at the others and think I'm leaving it too long before putting them in the ground.

Charlottes and caras to go in today.  Hoping for better weather than yesterday when we were dashing in and out of the shed to miss the hail.  Some of those hurt!

My PFA spuds show no sign of chits either, same as last year. They're going in next week with the Charlotte, reagardless, (weather permitting!).
