I've put some in my garden, so I can put fleese around if front is forcast.  The others I will plant out end of this week - they will just have to take their chances.

I too will start some more off just in case.

Sharkwatch,  my runner bean continues to grow and has a pale green cast to it now, well it doesn't look as pale as it was, so here's hoping   , thanks very much for the advice.

They are very pale when they first emerge as they have seen no sunlight yet to make chlorophyll.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Thanks DD, it was a couple of yrs ago I last grew runner beans next to a fence. They were green and a couple of inches tall when I noticed they'd germinated. It was a good crop too! I can't grow them there now, hence the reason they're in containers.
Thanks again  :)

They soon green up & perhaps those had been up a day ot two before you noticed them.

But as said before, the true albino ones simply will not survive.
