are still in good nick in trays in my wash house so used some of them to make fresh coriander and carrot soup for lunch.  I was going to throw them out as I thought they'd be soggy, but they were as good as new  :D  Still got some spuds out there anorl  :D

The soup was excellent and just the thing for a cold day. Brrrr  :D

I found a butternut squash at the back of a cupboard the other day - supermarket bought, with a sticker from last spring (and reduced to 10p, which probably explained why I'd bought it in the first place)!  it's impressive how well stuff keeps in the right conditions.

I bunged spuds in today, hastily. Still, I'm sure they'll be fine

I really can't bring myself to eat store spuds. URGH! No taste laden with chemicals. I'm spoiled from eating our own organic ones for many years. The kids are the first ones to notice if we must stoop to store spuds.

Likewise - with one thing and another, never got round to dealing with them.  Whilst one or two have started to sprout, (may be tempted to dob them in the ground) others are solid & are starting to get pickled. (now there's  a good idea).
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
