Finally, some movement on the alpine strawberries

Planted the seeds out over a month ago in the greenhouse, had really lost hope that they would grow. Haven't been to the lottie in a week and they have now finally germinated - complete with the tiny seeds on top of the leaves ! Great relief as last year they didn't germinate at all.

Any tips for how to ensure success in growing them from here on ?
Happy, hippy mama with a love of baking, gardening and cake decorating

Funny, but I took a gamble yesterday & sown a load in my spare heated propagator yesterday !
I know it's late, but I thought i'd give it a go.
Never tried growing them before, picked up a packet of seed yesterday at B&Q while looking for some paint  8)

they are so much more superior in taste to ordinary strawberries - but so difficult to get hold of, and terrifically expensive if you can find them. I absolutely adore them, especially in a champagne jelly

Mine are going well, these were rescued from a bed that was neglected.

Just hope they produce some fruit!
