Has anyone used one of these watering contraptions before?

Big Drippa

Just wondered if it's worth the money  :?:  :?

I've got one - found it useful, especially for slowly watering in a situation where you've no mains water supply to the greenhouse.
Check out our books - ideal presents

Sold!

If it's good enough for you... it's good enough for me!

I'll put my order in now! (and then just wait another 5-7 weeks for my greenhouse to arrive! :(  )

Thanks John  :D

:)

I liked the drip thing most because it kept the water going in gradually when we had that hot summer (remember summer?) - so the compost never dried out. It's a bee getting dry compost wetted again.

Just a tip if your compost does dry out, pop a drop of washing up liquid into the water and it will be soaked up by the compost much better.

We also use those water granule things in our potted plants - they really soak it up and release gradually. When we were on the Isle of Man our whole garden was concrete and we had hundreds (well it felt like hundreds) of pots so watering was a big thing.
