Onions again
« on: March 28, 2008, 21:30 »
So having got my refund from T&M I popped to the garden centre today to look at the onions and buy a bigger electric propagator  :D  The garden centre had Snowball which T&M hadn't been able to supply, they also had some red baron and the mouldy T&M mixed pack only had about 6 red onions in it.

So I'm happy again, I have red, white and brown onions and a huge electric propagator  :D  and tomorrow we'll be sowing some seeds.

I think it might be time to declare that the 2008 gardening season has started  :D  I'm ignoring that rain banging on the windows

Great what's going in first.

This weekend will be peppers and aubergines, I have half a mind to do tomatoes as well but might leave them for a week or two. My greenhouse is still in a box in the garage and I don't want to get too much stuff on the windowsill until I know it is going to be put up. You don't fancy putting a greenhouse up do you?

So glad to hear that your local GC supplied everything you wanted. I am always banging on about using them. I hope they produce some worthy crops for you.

I love our local garden centres.

One of them has a small river with ducks/swans on it so I drag the girls there most weekends to feed them (ducks not girls  ) and of course just have to pop in to the GC to 'see whats new!'

Any excuse :D
