I planted tayberries about 3 years ago.

They have grown many new shoots from the base area, I really have no idea how the should be be pruned or trained..please help, it's a mess :oops:  :oops:

Pretty much like blackberries, you probably have some support for them.

They fruit on 2 year old canes, so the new canes it grew last year will fruit this season, you want to tie or weave these around the support, can/should lose everything else, near ground level, ends of canes can be trimmed if necessary to fit. A 2-side system is easiest to handle: this years fruiting canes on one side and leave new ones(that will fruit next year to the other side.

On your location best to do this in the spring, as canes lying on the ground will have less frost damage.
