bad luck bodger hope every thing is restored to order for you soon .  I think we got off lightly here in lincoln as all that happened to me was mt gate to lotty got blown off its hinges so i feel lucky compared to you and at least youve got your sons home to help you

I was out at 4 o'clock this morning doing emergency repairs to the chucks run.  One of the roof panels had blown off.  

Their house is within the run and didn't want any more panels leaving or their run ending up a soggy quagmire.  Replaced panel and strapped a tarp over it to keep it in place.  

Could hear then hens in their house murmuring & chuntering quietly, don't think they were too keen on all the racket.

God its amazing the strength of it!
The fence has been blown down to nextdoors and it means the girls have to stay in their run which is adequate but they are used to free ranging.  They just stand by the door staring out   when they are not being blown about like feathery footballs  
Luckily its the neighbours fence so his responsibility the only pain he doesn't look in a hurry to mend it, maybe I should release the chickens and rabbits as an incentive.

Whoa!    We had to drive posts more than a foot into the ground and nail them to the chook run to stop it running away!

Good to see it didn't get far though! :o
