Got two packs at £1.99 each for 4 canes, don't hold out much hope for them but you've got to try...

I've transplanted them this morning into big pots with a mix of compost and manure and they're in the greenhouse - what should I do with them now to give them the best possible chance of survival ?
Happy, hippy mama with a love of baking, gardening and cake decorating

I would have thought plant them outside either in pots/tubs or preferably in a bed with plenty of compost and a bit of bonemeal in the hole.

do you think they will be OK - they're only about 8 inches high with pretty feeble looking roots.

I'm not anythign approaching an expert but we transplanted some a few weeks back which I'd virtually hacked out of the ground and they seem to be ok.
Hopefully someone with better experience will be able to confirm but unless they've got any health problems, I would have thought they'd be happier out in the wind and rain than under cover. They don't mind a bit of shade either. Watering is obviously important but I don't think that'll be a worry for a while yet. There's plenty of rain on the way.

They seem to be as hardy as any bramble.

Fingers crossed for your raspberries.  Taking a chance meself with some rhubarb (also £1.99 for two).  - Bought 8 in total, planted a couple of months ago, and they're starting to grow - hurrah!

We had a couple of fruit tress from Woolies years ago and I was sad when we had to leave them behind.
Them and Wilkos have real bargains but still manage to sell decent plants and trees.

I think you'll be overrun with rasps by next year.  :)

I reckon rasps have a habit of playing dead  :D   I leave the dead looking ones to see if they spring back to life so don't be too quick to chuck em
