My first batch of quails are hatching out as I type - in the incubator.

It's amazing.

I have posted up photos on my website see below -  not crystal clear - as I can not open the incubator for 24 hours

But if you look closely you can see them coming out of their shells.

Brilliant.
Visit my website to see my chickens, quail, allotment and much more -

Thanks one and all - I am so excited.  I have some rare white quail eggs on order

Haven't been doing much artwork lately Grannie Annie - been a bit occupied with my allotment, the chickens, family and all sorts of things.

The quail are now cheep cheeping right beside me.

I will be able to pick them up and hold them in my hands tomorrow.  It is so hard to see them in the incubator and will be great to see them running around.

Update

Having consulted my 'mentor' from whom I got the eggs - I have now taken out 18 fluffed up quail - put them in my broody cardboard box - and they are running around like a bunch of shouting little hooligans - hilarious.

I have put in 'distractions' to stop them pecking each other - and it  has now turned into what looks like It's a Knock Out - quail style.

They are running around in a bunch tumbling over a budgie ladder, pecking the bell, sitting on golf balls, head butting little cuddly toys that look like giants to them.  So very funny.

Added a few more photos of them coming out of the incubator - will take some more in daylight.

Thanks for looking at them on my blog - easier than for a numpty like me trying to load them on here.
