It could be her age.  Too young or too old.  Is her comb well developed and are her leg scales nice and shiny and neat.  A picture of here would help.

Is Bert a cockerel,  poor Gert if he is     1 cockerel to about 12 hens is Munty's recommendation.  I think she would appreciate more female company  :D

Just had a look at the pics THWW, and Gert does look quite young, but if you've had her for 8-10 weeks now, you'd think she'd be laying.  She may be a dud, one of our goldlines that we got at POL last August has a tiny comb, and she never laid, but a few days ago, we had 12 eggs from the 12 hens, so she is just coming into lay at about 11 months!!!!

Found her

I don't know this breed but I would have thought that if she was old enough to lay her comb would have developed, and it doesn't seem to  have at all.  Beautiful bird though  :D

She is a real beauty.

Can I just say, at risk of being shouted at, that we've had 4 eggs today.

Sorry. But I had to say it.

She looks like she's got a little way to go yet. I'm sure once she starts they'll taste all the better for it.
