I noticed this at the bottom of the tree on the trunk can anyone tell me what it is? Will The tree be okay? it’s the trunk of I Demzel plum

Does the tree itself look healthy? Are there any parts of it dying off?

That looks odd. Can you post a close-up, say just the width of the trunk?
