advice please we grow Alderman peas great crop as usual but we have got pea moth in many pods same last year they are too tall to net i am wondering wether i should miss next year will this break the cycle or should i plant much later any thoughts welcome thank you.

Sometimes it might be to do with sowing time and whether the development of the pods coincides with the life cycle of the moth? (I am no expert on this  )

Like Yorkie I’m no expert on peas but I believe the problem is ensuring your pea flowers are protected from the moth. Choice seems to be changing the time of likely flowering away from May/June when moth is most active or covering. My temptation would be to grow peas which are shorter so can be covered. One other point is that the life cycle includes overwintering in soil so I would ensure I was growing my peas well away from the previous bed(s). Others may be able to advise on whether one could remove overwintering moths or sterilise the soil in some way.
