Intruder in the camp...

Just been checking on the chooks, looking round the run, etc and noticed a strange looking piece of wood in the corner.

Looked closer and realised the bit of wood was this....

Julei had to distract the girls with some corn while I went in and rescued the frog.Popped him next to the small pond next door and off he jumped.

He must have been hiding in the bag of leaves we'd been using for litter. Last time I emptied some in was Saturday so he's survived well without being pecked.  :)

Maybe they thought their prince had come.. :?

True. And less likely to offend our Gallic friends.  :)

I've dug umpteen ponds over the years but only once did we have any success with spawning. There were hundreds of tiny froglets jumping across our lawn to next door when we found out she had a phobia about frogs.

We laughed.  :D

nature is a wonderful thing.....unless you see it happening !!

Mind you, they won't go for a wormyet so maybe they've not turned into fully fledged carnivores yet.  :?

You can still see the Tyrannosaurus Rex in them can't you ?!?!

It may be a few million years removed but the DNA still peeps through the fluffy exterior.
