Although some might be. Which should I get and when should I apply it.
It has come from overwintered cowsheds. So straw in it but not excessive.

Edit at least 2 years old. See below reference using it this year.

Get it today & stack it with a tarp covering it, if you can, turn it every few weeks & it will soon be useable

Just to add, if there's visible, unrotted straw in it don't put it round legumes, especially beans straight away in case the straw was grown with herbicides.

Not a big problem - just need to leave it to weather a bit longer.

So at least 2 years old.
Very very dry.
They removed most before I got there so bottom of the heap so 2 year old.
So thinking of using it all this year. First choice shallots and elephant garlic beds.
Rotating it in.
Won't add to bean beds as I buried loads horse manure there already (last year)
I assume very little,  if any weed seeds will make it through a cow stomach.
Also as its overwintered indoor cattle there may be no weed seeds to begin with?
I assume unsuitable for root vegetables?
Any other crop it maybe unsuitable for?
