Do you remember saying that I had planted neat rows of carrots but rougue spuds kept coming up (presume from the compost heap offerings) and I'd keep pulling them out? Eventually I gave up and let the spuds grow.
I dug up the spuds today and I've never had such a whopping crop of spuds, there must be a good onion bag and a half there, PFA, large white jobs and some with a hint of lilac towards one end. They lifted a treat due to the dry ground. A couple of the larger spuds were still warm from the heat of the day. I shouldn't wait and let them get all clarty from all this rain thats coming!
Cheers, Tony.
