we are growing a biennnial foliage plant called Rumex a variety called Ruby Streak as I don't know much about this plant has anyone grew this or knows and info on this plant?

Red Sorrel?  I have a few in the herb bed and are picked when we wander around the garden foraging for salad leaves.  I wouldn't want too many at once as they are strong flavoured and I'm sure i've read that eating too many can cause kidney problems, which is not the healthiest of my collection as it is!
