someone asked me the other day if we grew gherkins and how we grew them I had to admit I hadn't got a skooby do I presume one grows them like cucumbers  but not sure

I know its been a long time since I had a gherkin I think I bought the last one from the chip shop and they tasted like a pickled cucumber? so I thought mite have a go at growing some gherkins seen some in Kings catalogue [gherkin national] but as I'm unsure how to grow gherkins so why not ask the question I'm sure there's someone out there can give me some advice

Yes just grow them like cucumbers but I find you need quite a few plants so you can pick a fair few at one time to make it worth pickling them when they’re small. Watch gem though as they turn huge very quickly!
