Growing Sweet peas in troughs.
« on: February 03, 2021, 13:49 »
Does anyone know what is the minimal depth needed to successfully grow sweet peas in troughs as the south-facing side of our house is ideal for them.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I haven't grown them in containers, but logic suggests that the deeper the better, and I'd guess perhaps not less than 10-12". They are large plants which will need a lot of feeding and watering, and the smaller the depth then then more likely they are to dry out and become stressed.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
