Forgotten wine!

Advice please - we've just found a demijohn of last years' apple wine at the back of the airing cupboard! It smells good - but will it be safe to bottle and drink after sitting in the warm for about 9 months? Is it likely to have developed nasty bugs??  :?

Well if no air has got in, it probably tastes wonderful!  Bring it over here and I'll taste test it for you!!!! lol

Was there any water or anything in the fermentation lock?  Was there a fermentation lock on it?  if not, something could have got round the lock into the wine, but then surely it would sell vinegary???

It had a fermentation lock on so I don't think anything has got in to spoil it. Had a quick sip and it certainly tastes OK so we bottled it anyway! Will let you know how it goes down at a later date  :D
