Just saying this because some people seem to be taking it to extremes. Ok, I know there's a lot of sensible advice out there but raiding supermarket shelves for loo-rolls and tinned food seems a bit excessive to me. What do you think?

We probably don't need another thread about it, and whilst this is a gardening forum, there are other things to chat about, which are very important.  Other peoples opinion and views and their coping strategies are of interest and there may be things and we can learn by.   For some who live alone the "chatting" aspect of this forum is just as important as are all the wonderful gardening experiences we discuss.
If folk are fed-up with hearing about Coronavirus on this Forum, just don't open the thread.     Mrs Bouquet

I think MoS meant that we just had quite a few threads going, so there was already lots of opportunity to discuss this.

It is also important to talk about other things.  There is a lot of worrying news out there, but the other stuff like how your garden is growing can help keep that in perspective

i have agree with Mrs B absolutely rite what's been said because as part of the older generation the finger seems to be pointed at us being the most in danger of catching this virus and the consequences if we do happen to catch it

and I have to also agree with goosegirl some people do take things to the extreme as I said before when we had a fuel shortage people just didn't fill there cars up for the sake of it and they also took cans and stored them in there sheds I know this to be true because I was offered some fuel from a person storing many cans of fuel available at a price I told him to go away or words to that effect

and although this is primary a garden forum mum I can see where your coming from but I think people like to talk about this between members as its quite a talking point and many of our members are from all parts of the country and across the water as you know we have even got John involved

I really can appreciate that everyone wants to discuss the virus, I totally understand that! and would never try to stop you all from doing so 

The only thing I'm gently suggesting is that perhaps we don't really need to be starting ever more threads about it.
All the posts could be made on the threads already running - rather than all over the forum. They'd be much easier to find as well

The scum have been phoning or emailing pretending to be from the WHO asking for your bank details to enable them to detect if you have the virus. people are calling for this. There are also fake WHO websites now to steal or con you out of your details.

Tell you what, GG's not staying indoors because she badly needs a haircut and her nails done. After that, she's going to a little pub nearby that plays the 60's-70's music, some of which is a reminder of many happy past times spent listening to her old tape recorder. After I phone my OH to collect me from the corner of Dalton Square I might just have a little browse in Next to buy something for my new great-niece.
