I was cleaning my shed out  :shock: today and came across a big bag of daffs i bought last september  some of the bulbs were shooting so i decided to plant them in the garden,does anybody know if these will flower albeit later or just grow blind :?:

They should flower as the flower bud is formed in the bulb the previous season  :D

i had some bulbs i forgot as well although earlier in the year they have all come up and look great , love daffs .
i did have a big bag from Wilkinson's and when i opened them 50 % were dead so  just threw them in as compost .

Just a little tip (as they say )I suppose most ppl are like me and leave tulips and daffs in the ground one year to another but . . . if you want to lift them or you have to lift any other summer bulbs after flowering plant them in an onion bag in the first place. Its so much easier to lift them and you dont damage the bulbs with digging them out.  :D

when do you lift them , i had some lovely black ones came up one year and never saw them again had a dig and there was nothing to b seen so i think i will dig up the new ones .
