Autumn raspberries i’ve just cut them down will it be okay to spread the plot with three year well rotted horse manure but got some wood shavings in itThanks

I don't think that is a problem at all.  Wood shavings do stay in manure if it is stacked, but once you add the lot to soil, they disappear.

I was spreading compost from my compost bins over my soft fruit area on the plot yesterday.  For the paths and edging bits, I used wood shavings from the chicken coop, but there is plenty of chicken poop mixed in that.  I've used the same system for years and get loads of fruit.  The nitrogen in poop helps rot the shavings and stops them temporarily depleting the soil, but I usually chuck some fertiliser onto the ground beforehand just in case
