I wonder if anyone might have an idea as to which potato might be nearest in taste and texture to a Jersey Royal?

International Kidney, it's the same spud cunningly disguised under a nom de plume. :D

I have grown International Kidney for the past two years hoping to get the "Jersey Royal" flavour.  They were a good early potato but lacked the flavour expected.  This was despite growing in well manured soil, probably something to do with the very sandy soil and early sunshine in Jersey. Will be interested to hear your verdict.

....and the tons of seaweed used as fertiliser, perhaps? Seaweed on your garden improves the flavour of EVERYTHING. :D
