Well I am so excited! Last year we made a big wooden frame and started chucking stuff in it the usual stuff, you know....Built a second one and took the top stuff out and put in the new one. Low and behold at the bottom of the first one ...compost!!! I was rediculously excited! Still cant quite get over that eggshells, old peelings etc can turn into this lovely black stuff!!!! :D

when the new plot was strimmed last May, I raked up all the trimmings and basically built a 6 foot high "haystack".  I'm now in a position to move it and lo and behold, under the top thin layer of bleached grass stalks is the most perfect compost I've ever seen :D   I'm absolutely amazed - it was totally unintentional!

Had the first lot from the allotment composter this weekend, but been making it in the garden for years. Never fails to amaze.

Emptied my darlek bin at the weekend and was delighted to find it half full of good stuff.   :D

Put the unready stuff back in (well-mixed) and put the good stuff on the potato patch.  Well happy.

First time I ever made compost I made it by accident just having a pile of garden waste, came to move it and found lovely dark compost underneath.  Still think its magic.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who still gets amazed by it; our main composter is one I made out of pallets - it's very wobbley and tied together with old rope  , because of it's poor construction quality it's quite an effort to empty it but it's still one of my favourite 'jobs'.

I have 4 Dalek composters and get a warm fuzzy feeling when the compost is ready (how sad am I?) I enjoy turning the compost into an empty bin to mix it.

D'ya know its almost too good to use
I was put on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things; right now I am so far behind I will never die.

All sounds like good stuff. We've been away, so have been inspired to go and have a look at our compost tomorrow - not bins, tunny (rubble bags) - We've also got  a 'haystack' from when the lottie was strimmed. So hopefully that's composted down underneath. Can't wait to see!
Still glowing, still growing, still going strong!
