I know that may sound silly but they are under cover. I have 8ft x 3ft x 1inch plastic roofing that has been up warming the soil for the last 3 weeks so they will be nice and snug under their plastic tent. So half a dozen have gone in as its been so nice down here.

Last year they went out on the 9th March and I got my first crop on 24th May so it really does make a difference. Last year if a recall correct we still ha snow at this time.
Forecast is for it to be colder but no frost so fingers crossed.

I put some pilot in on Tues Covered with fleece and debri netting  which had been warming the soil for about 5 weeks

I put some Arran Pilots in about a fortnight ago, but they're all in pots in the greenhouse

I have put plastic sheeting down to dry and warm the soil but have resisted so far.
I had been wondering if anybody had.
a few to cover if there is frost is not so bad.

Here many sowing first earlies outside already.  I put few foremost to see what they be doing. But in a week or two I sow all my firsts and seconds.
