We went out to visit  market in Ventnor today and were really disappointed by it, but.... there on the edge of the hard was a fresh fish shop, that sold crabs as well. 

There is now a very large bowl of crab meat sitting on the counter top in the kitchen, awaiting us for lunch. Can't wait!!

Oooh - I love fresh crabs! OH got some massive fresh crab claws from our local fishmonger the other week and gave me a bit of it to eat. The flavour was awesome.

Next time you're down that way & don't make it across to IOW try Julie's Hut in Selsey, highly recommended. Our "go to" for fresh crabs down south.......I feel a trip out at the weekend before the end of the season.

In the morning. Done alright for Dover Soles, Pollock, Smooth Hound and Pout so had plenty to eat. Oh yes, forgot the Black Bream. Quite a lot to put back.. Bass & Silver Eels (of course) and undersized Starry Hounds, Bream and Dover Soles, plus a spider crab just a weeny bit too small which was a shame
