This weekend we have planted our 1st produce for next years crop, an 11ft row of Carcassonne Wight Garlic and that feels like we've gone from winning to finally won.
We've had our plot for nearly 4 months and in that time we've dug, deweeded and levelled 800+ sqare foot of ground, repaired the shed, paved parts, removed a load of rotting raised beds and grown a variety of veg as we've gone along, made detailed growing plans and all that with 2 small children and both of us working full time.
Still some digging to do and it may only be one short row of garlic but to us it's made us feel like all the hard work has been worthwhile, and that we CAN do it!
