Smelly Watering Cans
« on: August 07, 2018, 09:57 »
My cans have gone smelly because there is grey water standing around in them.   I tried washing them out with w/up liquid and a cloth, but it hasn't really worked.
Any ideas what to use, that will be safe in the garden ?  Thanks, Mrs Bouquet

Citrox is a natural disinfectant harmless to plants, which you can clean the watering cans with. Adding some to the grey water, might also help with keeping the smell down.

https://www.greenhousepeople.co.uk/products/3303/agralan-citrox-garden-disinfectant/   other garden centres or online suppliers may be cheaper so check first  ;)
