What are mangetout like from the freezer? Never considered freezing them

Not stunning, they come out soft even after the briefest of blanching (but it is better than chucking them on the compost heap when we have a glut and the pea weevil hasn't got to them!)   I use them in stir fries where they work well, the frying taking the excess water out of them and the softer texture fits in as a contrast to crisper carrot or bean sprouts.
