I noticed on my village travels that there where about 3 big fields sprayed with what I can assume was roundup the fields lay dormant but weed free

so being nosey I asked what that was all about and as I understand the fields where sprayed around October November to lay dormant overwinter then come spring they will be ploughed and set with beans the idea of spraying is to eliminate black grass or twitch as I call it so its going to be interesting to so how this works when the beans start growing and if winter spraying really does get rid of black grass
