Did you get a late frost? This would have stopped the early flowers from setting fruit.

What variety are they as some are later than others?

Have you watered them regularly?

Those in baskets are likely to be dry if they're anything like mine in the greenhouse, they dry out very quickly, I usually mix in some water retaining granules but had run out this year
A woman's place is in her garden.

Thank you for all questions,When we first started with these strawberry's,we were given 7 plants, the taste was so nice, since then we have grown on all the runners from these plants so new plants every year,it has been 10yrs since we had the first plants, the oldest we have at the moment is 3yrs,so these will be dug up and composted.
Where we live its rare to get a frost never mind a late one.
Watering if i know the weather is going to be hot the ones in the greenhouse are watered before i go to work and then again when i come home.
The plants in the hanging baskets i used multi purpose compost, not all the hanging baskets are in the greenhouse, there are some in the fruit cage, but they have been wrecked by the high winds of last week.
So my idea is to run another variety next year,so what do you recommend i try suggestions very welcome.
