A sensible girl, I hate runners but the French ones are just about acceptable with a bit of gravy!

I grew just one or two Red Russian kale plants to try this year, and have just had the first picking for lunch. We both liked it as it is tasty, and is very tender when cooked.  Definitely one for growing in quantity next year.  It also has the advantage over Nero Toscana in that the dreaded whitefly is much easier to wash out of it!

For me next year it's squashes, I had a lovely onion squashes this year so a few different types. Carrots never had great success with them in the past so I'm going to try again
