Strawberries and manure
« on: October 10, 2016, 21:05 »
Hi
I have a surplus of manure, and was wondering if strawberries would benefit from it?
If so, how would I administer it? Just chuck it over, or should I lift up the plants and tuck it under?
Thanks
Steve

I think if you just chuck it over you run the risk of rotting the crowns. I'd spread it between the plants.

OK, thanks. Seems sensible, rather than flinging everywhere!  :)
