My nephew bought a tomato plant and found a seedling in the pot with the tomato. He planted it up and got (see photo) this strange hybrid. Does any one know what it is?

Looks like a member of the potato family. Unfortunately, I'd say it's of the Nightshade branch of it!

It looks very much like a weed that I get on my plot, but I haven't a clue what it is.

Black nightshade by the looks of it, very poisonous.
