Long time no read, I hope you are all well

I want to grown some cherry tomatos this year but outside in hangin baskets, I want something that is going to grow well with no silly issues, "grow like weeds" kind of thing........... Looking for ideas on types best suited to this different colours would be great as well, anyy ideas?

The tumbling tom red / yellow varieties have done well for me in hanging baskets.

I think gartenperle is also a hanging variety.

You need to make sure that they are very well fed and watered, as a hanging basket has less compost than bigger tubs.

Thanks for the reply, forgot to mention the most important thing dohhhhh, taste! Do they taste good? Tried all sorts of different ones over the last couple of months from the supermarket and they have all been YUK! I will check out that variety now.

Not going to any trouble this year just want some salad leaves, herbs and toms mainly, lost my mojo with growing over the last couple of years

Luvvly toms....think you'd struggle to grow em in hanging baskets though?

Yellow Peardrops are nice toms, a bit acidic rather than being too sweet, which is perfect for me.

They grow up for a little while until the weight of foliage/fruit makes them hang over

I inadvertently planted a Yellow Pear in a basket last year, thinking it was 100s & 1000s and I was surprised by how well it did. Like the flavour of them too.

Gartenperle is also reliable and tasty as others have said too
