Chick treats
« on: May 05, 2016, 13:44 »
Hi all!

Is there anything that you'd recommend for my chicks 10 weeks. They're currently on growers but am wondering what to give them as treat or to stop them being board?

Thanks 🐓
Keep calm & talk to chickens :)

You could add a few leafy greens to their diet, but start with small quantities, or they may gorge themselves and get stomach upsets.

I've had just feathered birds that were put out into a grassed run.  They pecked the grass and came to no harm  :)

I used to buy a bag of what i think was called  budgie tonic seeds.
Lots of tiny seed , millet , niger and others.
A small handful keeps them busy for ages.

Live mealworms are as good as it gets as far as chooks are concerned !
