I grew some beautiful looking popcorn Fiesta last year (or rather my daughter did). We harvested when the husks turned brown and have been testing the corn ever since. Each time it does nothing, a few pops but that is more the moisture I guess bursting out but no lovely fluffy popcorn. We probably leave it to dry further for another month each time and the last two months it has been in the airing cupboard. I have read that some popcorn can be too dry so we will try adding 1 tsp water to 1 cup of corn as suggested and see if that works but I have my doubts as the corn when we first tested it would have been damper than that.
If anyone has had similar experiences or knows what we are doing wrong please help us out! BTW we can cook popcorn from the shops with no problems.
