I have just intergrated my summer chicks with the main flock. One Cock and 3 hens. Everything seems to have gone well the hens are not being bullied. But the Cock is treading all the older hens. They have all now stopped laying which I am led to believe is normal. How long will they go off the lay for ?

They have probably gone off lay due to the integration, also the sudden cold weather will not help. As to when will they come back into lay - when they are ready. Sorry

I would have thought a few weeks at most, due to stress.
Have they started laying again?

I recently introduced a cockerel, for two days my girls decided it was a good idea to lay else where in the garden...if I didn't spy one running off to a bush on the far side I would have never found them goodies! Maybe have a search in the garden; could be the same for you.

Everything is fine now they are back in lay !
