Aubergines or black chillies?
« on: September 07, 2015, 15:29 »
Planted them three or four (?) months ago. They still have white flowers but some have turned into black fruit. Trouble is I can't remember what I planted. Plants are about 8" tall, and obviously too close together. I'll pot them on asap.

Growing salad leaves isn't rocket science.

Yes - they do look kinda pointy.

Are they hot?

Taken my eye off the ball a bit this year. Discovered I'm going to be a grandad about a month ago!!!

Chillies for certain -- aubergine leaves are slightly felted.

And congratulations on your forthcoming new addition to the family, Scribbler  :D :D

Congratulations Scribbler.
Those are definitely chillies, something like Nosferatu, I should think. In the same vain, one of my Padron chilli plants had some rather impressive fruit on - it turned out to be a Romano sweet pepper! Not to mention my yellow bell peppers which are ripening red!!
