Hi all,

I was wondering if it is possible to tell the sex of my chick by this picture? It got its 1st show of feathers at 6 days old, and I read that females grow feathers faster than males

Hope it is a female as I would not want to have to rehome him

sadly with some you cant tell until much later. What breed is the chick?

If it is a Light Sussex they are very hard to tell usually

Daddy is a light sussex, and the girls are an assortment of light sussex, golden colour hybrids, not sure of the breeds, and some black ones. I will just wait and see
