Hi all
       I have a surplus of red and white onions 100 actually . do i just peel and slice them and put them in the freezer or do i have to prepare them in some way.

That's what I do and they are ok if you fry them from frozen, or if left whole I use them in stews.  I don't blanch them, just peel and go!  You may want to open freeze the slices first in case you end up with a big frozen lump!

And double bagging saves any oniony taint escaping in the freezer

You could always roast some, for variety.
