Personally I wouldn't give lettuce to the rabbits.  Carrot is ok but only in small amounts - no more than a 1cm chunk for each bunny - no need to grate it will do their teeth good to chew into a large piece.  Also if they are not used to fresh food it needs to be introduced very gradually as bunnies have extremely sensitive tummies.

Don't want to nag or sound too bossy but are the bunnies getting fresh hay every day - this keeps them amused more than veg would (which mine scoff in 10 minutes flat!)

Hannah :)

Agree re hay this should form the bulk of their diet. Lettuce is likely to upset them  :)

All I can say is that the hens were making no effort to eat the lettuce or carrot - they were more interested in the rootball that came up when I pulled them  :nowink:

At least it was something for them to do..........

On the other hand, the rabbit nearly bit my hand off when I put the carrot and a few lettuce leaves in  :D

To late, if it's not good for them ::)

I didn't know about lettuce being a problem for rabbits so I checked it out. There's quite a lot of info about rabbit diets out there. Here's one source I thought was quite helpful:
